Paleo Day 8

I’ve made it a whole week on the Paleo lifestyle! I feel great overall, and just need to keep learning more about my body, my food intake, and how to strike a balance with nutrition and running and life.

After lifting weights this afternoon I felt kind of weak so I had a banana before my run. By mile 3 I felt great and the last 2 miles of the run I felt on top of the world!

My rough estimates:
Protein (ideal 20-25%): 24% (previous days: 35-13-22-29-41-25-28-30)
Carbs (ideal 50-60%): 57% (previous days: 37-75-27-24-24-30-38-50)
Fat (ideal 20-30%): 19% (previous days: 28-12-51-47-35-45-34-20)

Breakfast

  • Baked snapper with tomatoes

Lunch

  • Fresh lettuce salad with tomatoes and mushrooms
  • 1 egg
  • 10 almonds

Snack

  • Banana
  • 10 Roasted pumpkin seeds

Run 5 miles, lift weights

Dinner

  • Squash w/ raisins
  • Spinach
  • Turkey bacon
  • Pomegranate seeds
