Paleo Day 1

So today is the day I’m starting the Paleo runner’s diet. I’ve been slowly adding in Paleo food, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Except for those carb cravings! I actually feel better already not having as many nasty foods in my system. I’m hoping this will help me be even more healthy – and improve my overall running and fitness!

Here it goes!! ūüôā

Breakfast

  • All natural chicken¬†slices
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Green tea

Lunch

  • Zucchini and onions
  • Raspberries
  • 10 almonds

Snack

  • Pure Protein Blueberry bar (before 6 mile run)

Dinner

  • Baked tuna steak
  • Baked broccoli and carrots
  • Turkey jerkey

Rough estimate of total for the day:

Protein = 133 (35%) – pre-paleo was 13%

Carbs = 140 (37%) – pre-paleo was 75%

Fat = 48 (28%) – pre-paleo was 12%
